Classification of Common Rice Food Packaging Bags

Food packaging bags should be mildew-proof, insect-proof, quality-preserving and convenient for transportation. Generally, hemp bags, cloth bags and plastic woven bags are the main ones. However, the permeability of hemp bags and cloth bags is very poor, which can not protect rice very well. Therefore, these two methods are generally not used. The following seven-color plastic woven packaging will introduce the main classification of rice packaging bags on the market.

Ordinary rice bags

1. Ordinary packaging: Plastic woven bags of polypropylene and other materials pack rice and seal it with seams. No fresh-keeping technology is used in the packaging process. The effect of this packaging method on insect-proof, mildew-proof and fresh-keeping of rice is relatively poor. Usually, it can only accommodate grain. However, plastic woven bags have strong tensile strength, and rice with a packing weight of more than 5 kg can be packed in this way, with a shelf life of about 3 months.

Vacuum packaging: Vacuum packaging can reduce the oxygen concentration in storage environment, inhibit the respiratory intensity of rice and the multiplication of mould, prevent rice aging, mildew, raw insects and so on, and better maintain the quality of rice. Because of the high vacuum, the packaging material wraps rice tightly, and the rice ends are sharp, the packaging bag is easy to be punctured by rice grains, resulting in the failure of vacuum packaging. Friction, collision and drop between bags are also easy to cause broken bags in the process of circulation.  Therefore, the fresh-keeping packaging of rice should be combined with the circulation environment, so as to achieve good results.

3. Inflatable packaging: Inflatable packaging is generally filled with carbon dioxide and nitrogen, they are colorless, odorless, non-toxic gases, chemical properties are relatively stable. Rice has the ability to absorb carbon dioxide, which makes it in a "sleep" state and prolongs the effective shelf life. Nitrogen filling reduces the oxygen concentration in storage environment, inhibits the growth of microorganisms in rice, and plays an important role in slowing down the quality change. Most studies have shown that inflatable packaging can effectively maintain the quality of rice and prevent rice from mildew and pests.
